Overview
This guide serves as an introduction to the FileWizrd iOS client and its functionalities.
In this article:
1) Requirements
Operating systems: iOS and iPadOS 14 and above.
2) Download and install
The app is available at: https://apps.apple.com/dk/app/filewizrd/id1587324599 or search for "FileWizrd" in the App Store.
3) Login
Once you have downloaded and installed the app, tap the FileWizrd icon on the home screen of your device.
First, you will have to log in with your FileWizrd credentials, along with your authentication code if you're using 2FA.
After login, you need to either opt in or opt out of sending crash reports to us. Opting in helps us discover the cause of application crashes and make it easier for us to improve the application.
4) Share List
The Share List is the place where you can access and upload files. Each share has a storage indicator, showing you how much space files from that share occupy on your device, and the total size of all files available to you in that share.
4.1) File operations
Tapping a share will allow you to browse it.
Press the + button to upload a photo either from your device, or by taking a picture or video with your camera, or to create a new folder.
Additionally, any file on your device can be uploaded to the cloud by Sharing it from Files to FileWizrd.
To Delete, Rename, Lock/Unlock, Open the file with an external app, or Download it to a folder outside of FileWizrd, tap the ... button. You can also create a public link for, enable/disable the always available feature on the file, or see its details in this menu. There are similar options for folders as well.
4.2) File preview and playback
Tapping a file will download it and depending on its type, the following will happen:
- Image files will be opened.
- Audio and video files will start playback.
- Documents will be shown a preview.
- Office files can also be edited in their respective Office apps by tapping the "share" icon in the top-right corner.
Files of any type can be shared to other apps that can open them with the share icon in the bottom-left corner.

4.4) Search
If you need to find a file quickly, use the search bar on the top of the screen. Search results are returned across all shares and it is available as long as you are in the Share List.
4.5) List and Grid views
You can choose to display files in a list view, or in a grid view. The list view show more file details, while the grid view shows image thumbnails. Please note that switching to grid view will automatically download all images in that folder if they are not already cached.
4.6) Sorting
The contents of folders can be sorted ascending/descending by Name, Date and File type. Tap the current sorting filter in the top-left corner to cycle through the options. Folders will always be displayed before files.
4.7) Selection mode
To select multiple items, tap the checkmark button next to the grid/list view button in the top-right corner. Tap individual files to add them to the selection or tap select all to select everything.
5) Settings
Tapping the Settings button in the bottom menu will bring you to the app settings.
5.1) Profile
Tap either the Edit button or any field to change your name, title, phone number, or to add/change/remove your profile picture.
Tap Activate Pincode to protect your login with a pin code. You'll be required to input it every time you open the app.
You can also enable or disable Crash Reports on this page.
5.2) Files
In this menu, you can set how long files should be kept cached on your device, and clear the local cache completely.
5.3) Backup
In the backup tab, you can choose to keep a safety copies of your images and videos. First, select a folder on FileWizrd where you want to keep this backup, then choose whether you want to copy your images, videos, or both of them backed up.
5.4) Logout
Tap this button to log out from the app. All cached data will be erased by doing this.
6) Uninstallation
Uninstall the app like you would uninstall any other app from your device.
Method 1:
✔ Go to the Home screen.
✔ Tap and Hold the FileWizrd app to enter rearrange apps mode. Tap the X button on the FileWizrd app to delete it.
Method 2:
✔ Go to Settings -> General -> iPhone\iPad Storage.
✔ Find the FileWizrd app and Tap on it.
✔ Tap Delete App.
Method 3 (iOS 13 and later):
✔ Open the App Store.
✔ Tap your profile picture to get to the Account menu.
✔ Slide the FileWizrd app to the left and tap Delete.
